Community Giving from Hi Ho Workshops in Brentwood

Hi Ho Workshops raise money every month to be donated to worthy causes in our immediate area, usually in Wyatts Green, Doddinghurst, or Blackmore.

We collect £1 from every MOT test we perform and whatever total amount we have at the end of each month (usually in the region of £250) is donated to that month’s chosen recipient.  Below you will find details of our most recent donations and the recicipients:

    The Hub Lunch Club in Doddinghurst is a community-funded meeting hub that meets once a week to provide lunch and conversation to those who need it.

    Donated to the St Lawrence Church roof appeal in the next village – this also happens to be where the proprietors got married!

    We donated to a brain tumour charity on behalf of a local lady who had lost her battle.

    Their mission is to provide a safe and loving home for abused, abandoned and neglected animals.

  • Santa’s Sleigh

    We used the sleigh to visit the local villages for the children and to loan out to the schools for the children to sit in for pictures etc.

    A charity helping children suffering from Intestinal Pseudo-obstruction.

  • Blackmore Primary School

    The money is going towards new outdoor sports equipment.

  • Reach Equine Therapy

    Helping children with issues through horse riding.

  • Doddinghurst's Xmas Lights

    December 2022 & January 2023

    Hi Ho Workshops funded the local village of Doddinghurst’s Xmas lights around the village, including several trees at the Village Hall, the local shopping area and the 50-foot tree on All Saints Church’s front lawn. This was accompanied by a big ‘switch on’ and carol singing from the local primary school children.

    The money is being put towards new hymn books for the church choir and helping them fund their community meetings.
